SHORT HIGHLIGHTS | Derby County v West Bromwich Albion

Colin Kazim-Richards’ first goal of the season was enough for the Rams to secure all three points against promotion-chasers West Bromwich Albion at Pride Park Stadium.

The forward, who was introduced in the 57th minute, took only 60 seconds to mark his arrival as he scored the game’s only goal.

He capitalised on a mix up in the West Brom defence and fired into the empty goal from 25 yards to secure a big three points for Derby County against a strong Baggies side.

Manager Wayne Rooney made five changes to the side which beat Blackpool at Pride Park Stadium two weeks previous as his Rams’ squad was again hit by issues with COVID-19.

And against high-flyers West Bromwich Albion, the Rams had to be alert from the first whistle as the visitors came into the game on a five-match unbeaten run.

  1. Go on Derby!! If only we were able to play Cardiff and snatch 3 points off them! Like Rooney said, a weeks worth of games changes everything, I have been confident that we can survive from the start and these results don't say otherwise !

  2. Back to back wins, 6 massive points. Rooney got the tactics spot on again against WBA, 4 points from 6 against one of the favourites to go up. Every single member of the team put a full shift in which is how it has to be every game. Not getting carried away as we still have a massive mountain to climb but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

  3. Proud of the boys for digging deep and finding a way to win wether it be ugly or pretty….folks need to remember we’re playing half a team of academy graduates whilst missing key players too…..what the team did today was prove what a fantastic job Wayne Rooney is doing whilst having shackles on his hands and feet

  4. Hopefully with some of my favourite Human League sweet ❤️ s ie Queen Joanne Catherall ❤️ s magic power's inside her sweet ❤️ 2 ward's me. Derby County will stay up. And Wayne Rooney will get the manager of the season in the championship.

  5. I'm pleasantly surprised with the result and very proud with the lads efforts, job very well done.

The lads play with grit, heart and very discipline against a top team with the best defensive record, what else could we ask for.

Top quality save from Allsop, Forsyth not himself and it's a very good thing, Stearman and Davies very solid and our teamwork and spirit top class.
